The ANCC Accreditation program recognizes the importance of high-quality Continuing Nursing Education (CNE), interprofessional continuing education, residency and fellowship programs, and skills-based competency programs.
Our accreditation guarantees our entire MRI program has met the stringent standards set forth by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
The ACR evaluates personnel qualifications, MRI image quality, safety policies, and quality control. In addition to evaluating process and personnel, each diagnostic clinical imaging unit used for patients must successfully pass tests to achieve accreditation.
Wise Health System has met the strict requirements for accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR). To receive accreditation, clinical images are acquired, relevant physician reports and corresponding clinical images submitted, and quality control documentation are evaluated in all categories of ultrasound services provided.
Wise Health System's computed tomography program earned accreditation by meeting the high standards of the American College of Radiology Accreditation, including evaluation of staff, acquired clinical and phantom images, dose measurements and scanning protocols.
WHS has been recognized by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association for meeting the latest research-based standards for resuscitation care with the Get With The Guidelines Achievement Award.

Wise Health System has demonstrated its commitment to quality improvement by voluntarily releasing data on how many heart disease patients received the correct medication at discharge following a procedure to clear blocked arteries.
Through the American College of Cardiology’s Public Reporting program, patients will be able to compare Wise Health System’s medication discharge performance to other local hospitals, allowing them to make more informed decisions about their care.
As an Accredited Chest Pain Center from the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC), we strive for better care, prognosis, quality of life, treatment, and communication for patients.
The accreditation signifies a higher level of expertise in dealing with patients who arrive with symptoms of a heart attack, an emphasis on standardized diagnostic and treatment programs to provide more efficient evaluations, and an emphasis on more appropriate and rapid treatment of patients with chest pain and other heart attack symptoms.
The American College of Cardiology has recognized Wise Health System for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients who come to an electrophysiology (EP) lab for care. Wise Health System was awarded Electrophysiology Accreditation based on rigorous onsite evaluation of the staff’s ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who come to the EP lab.
Electrophysiology labs provide care for patients with arrythmias and may employ treatments such as cardiac ablation and implantable devices such as pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators.
Wise Health System recognizes the importance of high-quality CPR competence, performance, and delivery in saving more lives. That’s why the Resuscitation Quality Improvement® program (RQI®), co-developed by the American Heart Association and Laerdal Medical and delivered by RQI Partners, was implemented on April 4, 2020 to help the hospital’s clinical staff achieve sustained mastery of high-quality CPR skills and competence, resulting in improved patient outcomes.
This recognition is awarded to participating RQI hospitals that advocate for quality and a culture of resuscitation excellence and serve as a beacon to other organizations looking to improve their resuscitation programs and patient outcomes. With a reputation for superior quality and efficient processes, RQI Lighthouse Organizations align with the RQI mission to eliminate preventable death from sudden cardiac arrest.
The MBSAQIP accreditation from the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery recognizes the East Campus of Wise Health System has undergone an independent, voluntary, and peer evaluation in accordance with nationally recognized bariatric surgical standards.

The HealthGrades Bariatric Surgery Excellence Award™ recognizes hospitals that deliver superior patient outcomes in bariatric (weight loss) surgery.
My Bariatric Solutions® is designated as a Cigna Two-Star Quality Center for Bariatric Surgery. Designation criteria includes being accredited through Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) in either Comprehensive or Comprehensive with Adolescent accreditation types.
Wise Health System has earned the Aetna Institutes of Quality® status by having high volumes and producing clear clinical results for bariatric surgery.
Wise Health System meets the Blue Distinction standards of the BlueCross BlueShield Association. The Blue Distinction Center designation signifies that Wise Health System is a facility that demonstrates fewer medical complications, fewer readmissions, higher survival rates and expertise in delivery of quality healthcare.
Accreditation through the Commission on Cancer means our clinical services provide exceptional pretreatment evaluation, staging, treatment, and follow-up for cancer patients seen in our facility at all stages of care.

Wise Health System has been awarded on Newsweek’s list of Best Maternity Hospitals 2022. This prestigious award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.
Newsweek and Statista developed a complex methodology to ensure the quality and validity of the ranking. Three data sources were used for the evaluation:
•Nationwide online survey: hospital managers and health care professionals with knowledge about maternity processes e.g. Midwives, neonatal and OB/GYNs were asked to recommend leading maternity hospitals in the US
• Medical KPIs on hospitals with a focus on indicators relevant to maternity care
• Results from patient surveys
The list names the top 350 leading hospitals for maternity care in the U.S., with only 21 hospitals in Texas receiving this top designation.

Wise Health System is a recipient of the 2014 Outstanding Patient Experience Award from Healthgrades, a leading resource that helps consumers search, evaluate, compare and connect with physicians and hospitals.
To be eligible for this award, Healthgrades evaluated 3,582 hospitals which submit patient surveys to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, covering admissions from March 2012 – April 2013. Hospitals had to meet survey response size and clinical quality thresholds in order to be eligible for the award.
The award recognizes Wise Health System's commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients and signifies that Wise Health System has reached an aggressive goal of treating these patients to standard levels of care as outlined by the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association clinical guidelines and recommendations.
Wise Health System had top scores among North Texas hospitals in a 2014 Consumer Reports study on hospital safety.
The annual Consumer Reports list of hospital rankings uses federal data to grade 2,591 U.S. hospitals on their patient care, overall safety and capacity to save lives. It includes measures of Patient Outcomes, Patient Experience, and Hospital Practices.
Wise Health System’s Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit was ranked in the top 6 percent of inpatient rehabilitation facilities by a 2012 study from the Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation (UDSMR). The UDSMR recognizes programs that efficiently and effectively help patients regain function and return to the community.
Wise Health System is a recipient of the 2012 Texas Health Care Quality Improvement Award. Established in 2004, this award recognizes hospitals that have made quality initiatives to improve patient care outcomes and performance on specific national quality measures.
