JILLIAN AND NICK
As an OB Surgical Tech in the Labor and Delivery Department for Wise Health System, Jillian was familiar with the extra protocols that were put in place during the pandemic, but the fear of the unknown (with coronavirus) was unnerving. In June of 2020, Jillian and her husband Nick welcomed their second child, Isaiah, into the world.
“I felt comfortable and safe delivering at Wise Health System,” says mom, Jillian. Having also delivered her first child at Wise Health System, she says “The biggest difference and challenge was not being able to have visitors at the end of the delivery, which included her daughter and grandparents. It was a nice 2-day break. We got a ton of rest, relaxation, one-on-one time with the nurses and doctors and had more time to focus on the new little one and breastfeeding.”
Jillian offers advice to all expecting mothers, “The entire experience may be different, but you will feel comfortable knowing that everyone (staff, nurses and doctors) are taking all the proper precautions so you don’t have to feel worried about coronavirus.”
