At Wise Health System, we do everything we can to make your billing process as smooth as possible. Below are some important points to remember about patient billing and insurance.
Online Bill Pay
Wise Health System offers a bill pay website allowing you to manage your payments online. Click here for more information about online bill pay.
We accept most major insurance plans and products. Some plans have special restrictions or network limitations, so please call the member services telephone number on your insurance card and ask if Wise Health System is in your network.
In any case, always present your valid insurance card in admissions when you come to Wise Health System for health care services. It is our pleasure to serve you.
Thank you for considering Wise Health System for your health care needs. We look forward to serving you.
For a complete description of your benefit plan benefits, limitations, or exclusions, please refer to your coverage information from your coverage provider. If you would like Wise Health System to verify your specific benefits, please contact a financial counselor at 940-626-1271.
This cost estimation spreadsheet below may not represent all procedures/offered by Wise Health System or the procedures may be titled something different than what you are searching. For any questions, please contact our financial counselors at 940-626-1271.
The averages that are provided in this tool are estimates only and are not a guarantee of insurance payment or benefits. The estimates are based on the averages over a period, across multiple insurance companies with varying benefit options. For various reasons, your actual cost may be higher or lower than the estimate. You will still be responsible for the patient portion as determined by your specific insurance carrier according to your benefits.
Additionally, the chargemaster can be requested by contacting 940-626-1261.
Deductibles & Coinsurance Payments
With regard to deductibles and coinsurance payments, a Business Office representative will provide you with an estimate of your personal responsibility. You will be asked to pay that portion of your bill or make payment arrangements at the time of service or upon discharge. This is only an estimate and is not intended to indicate the entire patient portion. Nor does this estimate include professional fees.
Payments After 30 Days of Hospital Filing
In the event that insurance does not pay within 30 days of the hospital’s filing, you will be asked to contact the insurance carrier and make arrangements to begin payments on your account. Any payment received from an insurance carrier after your account has been paid will be refunded to you, pending no other account due.
A variety of tests, procedures and services may be ordered during your visit or stay. Some of these services may be provided by members of our health care team (i.e. emergency physician, attending physician, radiologist, etc.), but bill separately for their services. These professional fees will be billed separately by the professional rendering your care or consultation.
Patients Without Insurance
If you do not have insurance coverage and are unable to make appropriate financial arrangements, you will be referred to an Eligibility Specialist to determine if you meet eligibility requirements for Medicaid or the Wise County Indigent Program. Wise Health System also has a Financial Assistance Program for persons that do not qualify for Medicaid or the Wise County Indigent Program.
