About the Program
The dual-diagnosis program is an intensive outpatient program designed to serve the adult population experiencing a psychiatric disorder that is co-occuring with a substance abuse/chemical dependency problem.
Throughout the program, patients are taught skills to promote positive thinking, self-empowerment and assertiveness, dealing with family problems and communication skills.

Admission Process
Referrals for admission to the Pathways Outpatient Program can be made by:
- The potential patient
- Care givers
- Families
- Primary care physicians
- Any concerned individual in the community
Our admission process begins with a confidential evaluation by trained clinical staff. Upon approval, a physician evaluation is conducted to determine the patient’s need for outpatient services and the appropriate level of care.
Treatment Times
The intensive outpatient therapy is conveniently offered from Monday through Thursday, 1:00 to 4:00 pm. Assessments and individual services are available during daytime hours.
Fees and Insurance
Most insurance plans cover the intensive outpatient programs. Psychiatrist fees are separate from hospital program fees.
