The Cancer Center at Wise Health System provides our communities with the latest technologies in cancer treatment. Cancer patients who live in this area now have an opportunity to seek treatment close to home rather than traveling to a facility in the Metroplex.
At the Cancer Center at Wise Health System, we provide individualized cancer treatment plans that take into account your cancer, as well as you as a person.
Family support, access to care and treatment options are fully explored with all of our patients, so that they feel confident in their care.
The Cancer Center at Wise Health System accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC). This accreditation recognizes our exceptional services provided at all stages of care.
Close to Home
When it comes to cancer treatment, the last thing a patient needs to deal with is along commute just to get there. Patients in Wise County no longer have to travel to the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex to receive cancer treatments.
Being close to home means being near your family and friends and in an environment that comforts, supports, and empowers patients and families.
We have worked hard over the last few years to bring the services and technology which are on par with the top cancer facilities in North Texas to our community, in order to fight the war against cancer in Wise County.
Our program has accomplished many great things, including:
- Enacted monthly tumor conferences attended by various physicians and hospital staff members to discuss specific cancer cases and allow for an open exchange of suggestions for treatment management.
- Acquired a stereotactic breast biopsy unit to provide the best available breast cancer diagnostic workups for those with concerns.
- Implemented the Truly Texas Room Service program to allow patients to order what they want when they want it. This is a great benefit for cancer patients who may not have an appetite when regular meals are served.
The Cancer Center at Wise Health System has participated in a number of community outreach events throughout the year, including United Ways’s annual community-wide health fair where we provide free oncology-specific health information and screenings.
