The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program includes exercise and education for people who have experienced, or at high risk for, a heart attack, heart surgery or cardiac intervention such as angioplasty.
Cardiac rehabilitation (also known as cardiac rehab) is part of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Wise Health System. Cardiac rehab is composed of exercise, emotional support and education to provide patients with the best recovery possible after a cardiac event.
Cardiac rehab is divided into three phases, with Phase I occurring during the patient’s stay at the hospital. The other phases begin after the patient has been discharged or with a referral from a physician. Click below to learn more about cardiac rehabilitation.
