The staff at the Center for Emotional Wellness is continuously finding new ways to meet the needs of our community.
From Employee Assistance Program services to Intensive Workshops (and many areas in between,) we want to make the pursuit of counseling convenient and comfortable.

Individual and Group Counseling
We offer highly confidential and individualized one-on-one counseling services utilizing various therapeutic modalities including but not limited to EMDR Trauma Therapy, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and others; we are able to accept cash pay, Medicare, Medicaid, and a large number of insurances.We also offer support groups and group therapy for a variety of specific topics or areas where the collaborative approach of group therapy might be meaningful for you in your journey.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is considered a best practice in overcoming a variety of conditions including PTSD, Post-Traumatic Stress, Panic Attacks, Disturbing Memories, Addiction, Eating Disorders, and many more. Francine Shapiro, Ph.D. developed this approach to trauma recovery and our EMDR therapist has been Shapiro trained and is ready to guide you on the path to healing.
Your therapist will work with you utilizing eye movements or other sensory mechanisms to impact the way that your brain processes information regarding your specific problem.
Today’s culture creates a level of noise, intensity, distraction and demanding schedules that so often take our focus away from our inner selves.

The Daring Way™and Rising Strong™ Groups
Dr. Brené Brown is a researcher, storyteller and best-selling author. She has developed an incredible curriculum to help us work through shame, vulnerability, finding our “arena,” living an authentic life, and living BRAVE.
If you are overcoming disappointment or heartbreak, looking to dive into a new phase of your life, or simply seek inspiration and self-awareness, these groups and workshops are meant for you!
Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
Any incident or traumatic event (death, divorce, injury/illness, loss of job, car accident, natural disaster, etc.) that causes you to experience unusually strong emotional reactions have the potential to interfere with your ability to function at the time of the event or later.
If you, your place of work, your community, etc. experience a critical event, our CISM Team may be able to provide emergency stabilization services to promote the potential for overcoming this experience in a healthy manner.

Our team has worked hard to develop a vision for the Center for Emotional Wellness and a relevant skill set, along with over 20 years of combined clinical expertise that will help meet the needs of our community.
Kelly Jones, LCSW, CCISM
Kelly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Senior Director of the Wise Health System Employee Assistance Program and Emotional Wellness Center. She has 11 years of clinical experience specializing in emergency medicine, crisis intervention, trauma, depression and anxiety.
She is an instructor of Critical Incident Stress Management with an emphasis in Resilience Training: Psychological Survival Skills for Before, During and After Crises; Staff Support in the Healthcare Setting; Advanced Critical Incident Stress Management; among others that enhance her awareness of the need to provide emotional and psychological support across the continuum of care for various forms of trauma exposure.
Kelly has had the honor of working alongside many first responders through debriefing, education, and support. Kelly is also an experienced EMDR Therapist. EMDR is a recognized and reputable treatment for trauma recovery.
Megan Adams, LCSW, CEAP
Megan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who pursued her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Baylor University. She is the manager of the Center for Emotional Wellness and the Employee Assistance Program Manager at Wise Health System.
Equipped with 9 years of clinical practice, Megan’s specializations include Mindfulness, Self-Care, Shame Resilience, Anxiety, Depression, Work/Life Balance, PPD, Life Transitions, and Parenting and, in general, getting past the moments in life where we feel stuck, unfulfilled and wanting more. She looks forward to helping adults and adolescents develop coping skills and become empowered to overcome life’s hurdles.
Megan is also a Certified Employee Assistance Professional and has been trained in the Daring Way™ and Rising Strong™ curriculum of Dr. Brené Brown.
