Type 1 diabetes is caused by some type of beta cell destruction in the pancreas.
Insulin is no longer produced in a person with type 1 diabetes. They must always be provided insulin to help the body process glucose from the food we eat.
Type 2 Diabetes
Type 2 Diabetes is the most common form of diabetes and associated with multiple disorders.
It can be caused by insulin resistance, insulin deficiency, gult-4 transporter dysfunction, increased glucose production by the liver. Treatment varies according to the needs of the body.

Gestational diabetes
A form of diabetes that occurs when a woman is pregnant.
Due to placental hormones, the pancreas may not be able to utilize insulin effectively and maintain normal blood glucose levels.
