Aging gracefully. That’s what we all want, right?
At Wise Health System, we’ve designed programs and services specifically for the senior members of our community. We are committed to providing social, physical and emotional support for senior adults to promote healthy, productive, and fulfilling lives, at any age.
Senior Programs
Staying physically active is one of the best ways seniors can stay healthy – mentally and physically. An active lifestyle has been proven to help prevent or delay many diseases and disabilities. Fit-N-Wise offers a wide variety of exercise programs and classes for seniors.
Physical Therapy
There are many benefits of physical therapy in older adults who’ve suffered from accidents, injuries or illnesses. Not only does it help restore strength, balance and mobility; it also builds confidence and decreases the likelihood of injuries from falls – one of the biggest risks the elderly face.
The professional physical therapists at Fit-N-Wise work with patients one-on-one to provide the best care possible in a comfortable and safe environment.
Inpatient Rehabilitation
Being as self-sufficient and independent as possible is important for seniors. Being able to care for themselves creates feelings of self-confidence and worth.
Individuals who’ve suffered a life-changing event through illness, injury, or surgery benefit greatly from the structured services an inpatient rehabilitation program can provide, helping them rediscover their independence.
Behavioral Health
For millions of Americans over 65, mental illness interferes with their ability to lead normal, productive lives and inhibits their ability to function. Some of the most common factors in mental illness in the elderly are depression, paranoia and dementia (including Alzheimer’s disease). These are devastating illnesses that greatly affect their physical and emotional well being.
The Behavioral Health Services program at Wise Health System understands the difficulties patients with behavioral disorders face and is committed to helping patients return to the highest quality of life possible, increasing their ability to function independently.
